Nokia plans on releasing Android devices soon

Nokia Android prototype reportedly is
still into production

Last week the New York Times revealed
that Nokia has indeed worked on an
Android smartphone as an alternative to
the Microsoft partnership prior to the
acquisition announcement. As it turns
out, the Finns haven't completely
scraped the Android project and are still
working on an Android smartphone. The
report comes from a Weibo account
CTechnology, which has generally been
a reputable source of leaks from China.
we are mentioning China, because this
where Nokia has based the R&D of its
Android smartphoneр dubbed
"Mountain View", more specifically in
the Beijing offices of the company. In
fact, the project is so ahead in its
development that Foxconn has made
and delivered a cool 10,000 "Mountain
View" prototype units to date.
Moreover, there are still more
development that's going around the
prototype and Foxconn is continuing its
manufacturing. According to the report,
the project will continue to live on at
least until November. Then, Nokia
shareholders are bound to approve or
denounce Microsoft's acquisition offer.
As for the "Mountain View" prototype
itself, Nokia has based it on the
Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 8225Q chip
with the sole intention of the Android
smartphone to be affordable. No more
information regarding further
specifications is available at this point.
We wouldn't be surprised if we some of
these prototypes leak when, and if, the
project gets cancelled. The Microsoft
and Nokia deal, however, is likely to
pass and the company's Android
initiative is likely to go bite the dust by
the end of the year. Here's hoping we
at least get to see how the "Mountain
View" prototype looks like if the project
really does go south.
I recently posted on HOW YOU CAN INCREASE YOUR PHONE RAM
Turns out the software was an absoluty expensive one so i bought it and decided to share for those that really need to expand there phone ram for better experience Download reohosoft ram expander app HERE
How It works...?

The Android Operating System is
the
most popular Operating System
which is
being used in
Mobiles and Tablets. Why? The
answer
is simple, due to Games and Apps.
And
if you’re Mobile or Tablet is running
low
on RAM then you can’t play most
of the
games or run the Apps. The
Android
Operating System also gets
popular with
its multitasking ability which means
you
can do more than one task at a
time on
Mobile. But this multitasking feature
of
Android OS requires the use of
RAM as
the program running resides in the
memory of RAM and if it is low
then you
will feel slow operation of
processes.
The app can increase the RAM of
Smartphone with a new technology
in
which a new file is created called
as
SWAP file on the SD card and this
file is
used as Virtual RAM to boost the
performance of Android
Smartphone.
The App that can do this
unthinkable
task is ROEHSOFT
RAMEXPANDER.
Check Compatibility..
Now after going through the above,
you
must be thinking of using the app
to
increase the RAM on Android
Smartphone. But before using the
ROEHSOFT RAMEXPANDER app
and try
to improve the performance of your
Mobile or Tablet, first check
whether
your device is compatible with the
ROEHSOFT RAMEXPANDER app
or not.
To check compatibility use
MemoryInfo
& Swapfile Check pluginwhich is
free
to download and use. The main
purpose
of the software is to check whether
your
device is compatible with
RAMEXPANDER or not. Reason to
check
is because some Android devices
are not
in spite of root privileges in a place
to
deal with a swapfile, some
manufacturers have this disabled
kernel
side. It is recommended to check
before
you use the ROEHSOFT
RAMEXPANDER
app.
Some of the features of it..
•SD card memory as a
RAM use (SWAP RAM / SWAP
MEMORY)
•Swapfile RAM expansion up
to 4.0 GB (file system limit)
•No limit on SWAP partition!
•The usual performance
degradation when paged not
occur with sd card from
class-8
•Widget for PNP swap (swap
on / off swap)
•Detailed Memory
Information & Analysis
•Autorun
•Swappiness kernel
parameter set
•Easy foolproof use
•(1 click optimization and
automatic calculation)
•Supporting Tung all Android
devices (root access and
Kernelswap support
So guys enjoy this application for
your
phone & enjoy the fast running

The Senior Staff Association of the Nigerian Universities (SSANU),Western Zone, yesterday threatened to down tools if the Federal Government decides to fully implement the Needs Assessment Report which it described as poisonous to Non-Academic Staff in universities.

Addressing newsmen on the issues raised by the Prof. Yakubu led Needs Assessment Committee at a lecture held at the University of Benin (UNIBEN), the National Vice President and chairman Western Zone, of the SSANU, Comrade Alfred Jimoh, said the association had earlier faulted the composition of the Needs committee set up by the Federal Government to identify the gaps in the university system.

He said the committee was not only “lopsided but one sided because it excluded both students and the non-teaching staff in the system and compromise only members of the Academic Staff and the then incumbent President of ASUU. “The report of the committee is laced with some poisonous and odious recommendations against the Non teaching staff, which we call satanic verses of Needs Assessment Report”.

He said therefore that “one cannot but wonder how government could expect an objective and dispassionate report from such a warped and highly skewed committee. True to type and as anticipated by the Non teaching staff of Nigerian universities, the committee came out with a voluminous document full of graphics, illustrations and pictorials which range from truth to half truth and altar false hood.

“We the Non teaching staff Unions particularly the Western zone of the SSANU have at every fora given warning to the Federal Government to discard the offensive parts of the Needs report which seek to determine the job Non teaching staff of Nigerian universities and halt their human development through training and retraining” he said.

He further warned that the full implementation of the report would be resisted through industrial action.

Tecno Phantom A3 Specification and Review

Tecno Telecoms have released the latest version of the phablet line of devices. Few weeks ago, Tecno Phantom A2 aka F8 was released with specs and designs similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note series.

Tecno Phantom A3 is a slight improvement over its predecessor, the A2. A quick spec sheet is presented below for your consumption.

Network and SIM:-
Just like other before it, Tecno Phantom A3 supports 2G GSM900/1800 and 3G HSPDA2100 networks. Also, it uses dual mini SIM with dual standby. The SIMs are inserted by removing the batteries and then inserting the SIMs.

Build and Dimensions:-
As usual, the A3 features a plastic bodied design just like the rest of Tecno devices with a minute thickness. Dimensions stands at 160 x 82 x 8.9mm. It comes in the usual White and Black colours

Display and Resolution:-
Tecno Phantom A3 is a phablet. For those that don't know, a phablet is any smartphone with a diagonal screen size ranging from 5.1 to 6.9 inches. Tecno A3 has a display size of 6.0 inches with a capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colours. Display resolution stands at 720 x 1280 pixels (245 PPI) which is to an extent not too bad.

Camera:-
Tecno Phantom A3 has a 13MP rear camera with auto focus and a flashlight to enable taking pictures in low light areas. The front camera is 8MP which is splendid for Skyping
and video calls or personal photo shoot.

The rear camera can take pictures with resolution 4128×3096 up to 5Mb in size. Videos in 1080p @30fps can be shot with this camera. Geo tagging, face detection are also features of the rear camera. Geo tagging and image size can be changed in the camera settings options as usual.

Tecno Phantom A3 comes with a whopping 16GB internal memory and a card slot that can support up to 32GB of external memory. That is obviously a great thing and a
upgrade when compared to the A2. The RAM however, is 1GB which is the norm for most Tecno phones and so we are not shocked.

Tecno Phantom A3 is equipped with a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6589T processor and OS Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Just like the others, its a quad - core processor that is able to
handle jobs well.

236.8 kbps and 3G Up to 22.2 mbps downlink; Up to 5.76 mbps uplink.

Tecno Phantom A3 comes with a 2600mAh battery power and it would be safe to assume that it will perform well in different situations its subjected to.

Utility Apps:-
Apps like Whatsapp, Facebook, Gmail app, Flashshare etc are pre installed into the device.

In a matters of time we shall be bringing a video review of this device to you

However, keep in mind that the A3 is a phablet and as such should function as such.
We believe that Tecno is trying to attend to loyal customers that need a phablet.
